Sextet formed by bassist and composer Ben Crosland, an extension of his Threeway trio featuring Steve Waterman (trumpet & flugelhorn) and Steve Lodder (piano & keyboards).
The Brass Group also includes Martin Shaw (trumpet & flugelhorn) plus Mark Nightingale and Barnaby Dickinson (trombones). The Brass Group album “An Open Place”, a selction of pieces inspired by works of art at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park was released on Crosland’s own Jazz Cat record label in 2011.
