New York based alto saxophonist and composer who has released six albums as a leader. The latest, “The Anton Webern Projects” (Whirlwind Recordings, 2013) examines the music of the Austrian born avant garde classical composer Anton Webern (1883-1945) in a jazz context. Despite the apparent dryness of the title it’s an absorbing, surprisingly accessible and often exciting album.
