Pianist, composer and educator who is currently Head of Jazz at London’s Trinity-Laban Conservatoire. Also an active performing musician Purcell issued “Red Circle”, his debut album as a leader on Whirlwind Recorings in November 2014. The quintet line-up includes Julian Siegel (tenor & soprano sax), Chris Batchelor (trumpet), Steve Watts (bass) and Gene Calderazzo (drums).
