Monday, November 11, 2019

Paul Walker of the East Side Jazz Club, Leytonstone has forwarded details of the programme for the next three months. Events take place weekly on Tuesdays at Leytonstone Ex-Servicemens Club.

Paul Walker writes;

The East Side Jazz Club in Leytonstone was hit hard in April of this year when founder and organiser of the club Clive Fenner sadly passed away. Clive had been running the club , and playing the drums there , for over 25 years . A group of regulars at the club were determined to keep Clive’s legacy and the thriving club going and so far so good. The standard attendance is around 50 which means we can pay the musicians a reasonable fee. The club is held on Tuesday’s upstairs at the Leytonstone Ex-Servicemen’s club , bar prices are reasonable and entrance is between £7 and £10. The line up for the next 3 months is;

12 November – Jason Yarde Quartet

19 November – Thelonius ft Martin Speake , Hans Koller , Jeff Williams and Michael Shrimpling
