Wednesday, 5 June: Stuart Henderson & Karen Sharp “Partners in Time”
Celebrating the historic trumpet/saxophone partnerships of jazz, think of Miles Davis/John Coltrane, Chet Baker/Gerry Mulligan, or Lee Morgan/Joe Henderson, two lead instruments working as one to create amazing harmony and unforgettable jazz improvisation. Trumpeter Stuart Henderson and saxophonist Karen Sharp join forces to celebrate the music of these fantastic partnerships from the 40s 50s and 60s!
With Pete Billington (piano), Marianne Windham (bass) and Simon Price (drums)

Join us for Jazz in the Vineyard at the High Clandon Estate Vineyard on Saturday 8th June as trumpeter/singer Sue Richardson performs swinging tunes and sings the stories celebrating the unsung heroes of jazz: the women behind the sounds, the songs & the men! An unmissable, feel-good show guaranteed to get your feet tapping!

Friday, 14 th June: Alessio Menconi & Nigel Price Quartet
The internationally renowned Alessio Menconi is one of the most impressive jazz guitarists you will hear. He teams up with kindred spirit, UK award winning Nigel Price, to present a night of exciting guitar led jazz. Expect echoes of Pat Martino, Wes Montgomery & Joe Pass as the band take on material made famous by the giants, as well as a few original compositions.
With support from Tristan Banks on drums and Luke Fowler on double bass.

Sunday, 30 June : “Embraceable Ella” with Joanna Eden
Joanna Eden presents a show celebrating the music of Ella Fitzgerald. From ‘A Tisket A Tasket’, which brought Ella to fame with the Chick Webb Orchestra, to the songbook album classics. Joanna launched Embraceable Ella to much acclaim at the London Jazz Festival.
With Paul Higgs on trumpet, Chris Ingham on piano, George Double on drums and Marianne WIndham on bass.
The evening will open with big band swing from the FARNHAM BIG BAND. The garden kiosk will be open for drinks and snacks, and you can bring your own picnic. Every penny raised at this event supports GUTS, fighting bowel cancer.
