Is this the world’s oldest working jazz musician?

We have been advised that drummer Cliff Crockett will celebrate his hundredth birthday on February 2nd 2014 behind the drum kit with Shropshire's Severnside Jazz Band.

Allan Dickie of the Shrewsbury Jazz Network informs us;

Severnside Jazz Band and guests on drummer Cliff Crockett’s 100th birthday!
Four Crosses, Bicton, Shropshire. 8.30pm, Admission £5.
The Severnside Jazz Band have been delighting fans at the Four Crosses on alternate Sunday nights for many a year.  But tomorrow night, Sunday 2nd, their drummer, Cliff Crockett, is celebrating his 100th birthday with an evening behind the kit. So why not raise a glass to him there?
