Members of the jazz community are invited to participate at this music trade fair event to be held in Cardiff in October 2013. The deadline for submissions is 12th April 2013. Press release attached.

Jazzing WOMEX

Our dear friends at WOMEX are keen to attract members of the jazz community to the 2013 event, to be held in Cardiff 23-27 Oct 2013.

WOMEX is an international networking platform for the world music industry. The annual five-day event comprises a bustling Trade Fair, Showcase Festival, Conference, and Film programme, as well as festive Opening and Award ceremonies.

There are a couple of ways you can participate.

Take part in the showcases ? if you’re an artist WOMEX offers unequalled opportunities to play in full view of the movers and shakers from around the world ? festivals, promoters, labels, media.

Contribute as a speaker at the conference ? share your knowledge and experience of the jazz world with fellow members of the music world.

WOMEX are looking for participants in their showcase, conference and film sections. Check the link for more info but note the closing date is very close: the 12th April for all but films.

In return every conference speaker and mentor will receive one free registration granting full access to WOMEX to every Conference speaker and Mentor. For speakers WOMEX will also provide the Conference room, necessary equipment, and special PR treatment (including presentation of speakers and session in the Guide, on the website, in the newsletter).
