The 1901 Arts Club, inspired by Europe’s salon culture, is the most unique event space in central London. Built in 1901, the house maintains its late Victorian exterior while the Club’s beautifully decorated rooms re-create the intimate ambience of a private residence.

Back in 2016 in our TW12 Jazz Festival we had the pleasure of hosting Jim Mullen featuring Zoë Francis at the United Reform Church in Hampton. It was a fabulous evening and we are delighted to have the two of them back together to play at Riverside Arts Centre. Zoë is a cool, sophisticated vocalist and Jim Mullen is a legend of the jazz scene!

Sunday 27 October 7.30pm
Jazz on the Plaza
Café Yukari, Kew
Dave O’Higgins - Saxophone
Terence Collie - Piano
Esther Ng - Double Bass
£16 in advance, £18 on the door
In May 2023 we had saxophonist Judith O’Higgins as our Jazz on the Plaza special guest and we thought it timely to invite husband Dave.
Dave O’Higgins’ tenor and soprano sax sounds are highly personal and recognisable, with a clear sense of melodic development and adventure. A popular performer with the public, with an excellent sense of pacing and presentation, he has a wide palette from Charlie Parker, Dexter Gordon, John Coltrane, Joe Henderson through to Stanley Turrentine and Michael Brecker. He has relentlessly pursued artistic and sonic exploration and development with a deep respect for the tradition of the music.

Mood Indigo Events are run by Kingston based vocalist Janet McCunn and Hampton based pianist Terence Collie combining their efforts to bring great jazz music to SW London and beyond. This is all done without any funding and is reliant solely on your continued support in attendance at our events.
