Music for Ukraine
We Jazz Records release charity compilation
We Jazz Records release a 26-track benefit compilation with all proceeds going to humanitarian aid in Ukraine.
The digital album includes 26 tracks, all previously unreleased digitally by We Jazz, and it features 12 new acts making their debut on the label.
“The situation in Ukraine is horrible and our thoughts are with the Ukrainian people suffering from Russia’s attack”, says We Jazz artistic director Matti Nives. “It’s hard to figure out what to do but we simply felt the need to do something and started piecing together this compilation. All artists jumped aboard immediately to send in material which is mostly previously unreleased and top class all the way. I want to thank all artists taking part, everybody spreading the word about this release and everybody getting the album and enjoying the music. I also hope that other labels and artists would start sharing music in support of Ukraine. Together we’re stronger, so let’s do everything for peace.”
All proceeds from the digital-only album - available now via Bandcamp - will be donated to verified aid sources to help Ukraine. The list of aid sources includes Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, Kyiv Independent and Odessa Charity amongst others. The donations will be made public as soon as they are sent.
