Saxophonist Phil Bancroft takes his new trio, The Beautiful Storm on tour during March 2025 to promote the group’s first album, Finding Hope (When All Seems Lost).

Beautiful Storm breaks over Newcastle and Scotland


Saxophonist Phil Bancroft takes his new trio, The Beautiful Storm on tour during March to promote the group’s first album, Finding Hope (When All Seems Lost).


Featuring Bancroft with Delhi-based percussionist Gyan Singh and leading Scottish guitarist Graeme Stephen, The Beautiful Storm released Finding Hope (When All Seems Lost) on Bancroft’s Myriad Streams platform towards the end of 2024 and has received enthusiastic responses from critics and radio presenters internationally.


The tour opens with a concert at the Cluny in Newcastle-upon-Tyne on Tuesday 18th March and includes appearances at Aberdeen Jazz Festival and the Novus weekend in Edinburgh as well as gigs in Tobermory on the island of Mull and Resolis on the Black Isle in the north of Scotland.

 

“I’m really looking forward to playing some live dates with the trio,” says Bancroft. “I was happy with the way the album turned out and I’ve been really pleased with the reaction it’s had. We’re already looking ahead to playing further dates later in the year.”
