R.I.P. Archie Cotterrell

Allan Dickie of the Shrewsbury Jazz Network has informed us of the passing of Midlands based jazz pianist Archie Cotterrell.

Allan has sent us the following statement;

“The respected pianist Archie Cotterrell, well known throughout the Midlands, has died. Archie had been playing very recently and regularly appeared in Shropshire with Carole Westwood at the Harp, Albrighton. We send our condolences to his family and many friends.  Archie’s funeral will be at the Bushbury Crematorium, Wolverhampton WV10 7JG at 2pm on Wednesday 21 December.”

Ian says;

Unfortunately Archie was a musician that I never actually got to see play live. Nevertheless all at The Jazzmann send their condolences to his family and friends. R.I.P.
