RONNIE SCOTT’S JAZZ CLUB – LONDON’S ICONIC LIVE MUSIC VENUE – RELAUNCHES LEGENDARY 3AM LATE LATE SHOWS
Running four nights a week, every week, Ronnie’s is to bring Londoners Jazz, Neo soul, Jazz funk, and DJs into the small hours

Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club is to relaunch its iconic Late Late Show – the hottest ticket for late night entertainment in town. Back with a bang in October 2021, Soho’s classiest late-night venue is mixing things up: now programming an eclectic range of music, from jazz to R&B, hip-hop to soul, and dance to bass-heavy funk, with doors open until 3am.

Kicking off on Wednesday 6 October, the Late Late Show will now run four nights a week, every week, with a rolling schedule ensuring there’s something for fans old and new, all from the coolest musical talent on the scene. Tickets will cost from just £12 and with entry from 11pm, the Late Late Show will be the perfect post-dinner destination for drinks and entertainment in the heart of Soho.

On Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights things are set to get funky. Doors open at 11pm, with DJs setting the tone for the night and artists to come. Names like Ronnie’s own DJ Disco Dolly (Sarah Weller) and Mike Vitti will spin records, fusing contemporary jazz with funk and soul. The atmosphere will be convivial and conversational, and the lights lit low - warming audiences up for the show to come.

Thursday nights will be the recurring night for slick neo-soul, nu-jazz, R&B and hip hop – a night reflective of the diverse, dynamic music scene in the UK. Resident hosts will get things going, including names like Basement JAXX and Dizzee Rascal vocalist Vula Malinga presenting ‘Vula & Friends’, Renato Paris – the BRIT School star - and jazz hip-hop artists JD3, hosting the final Thursday of every month. There’s also trailblazing New Zealand drummer - Myele Manzanza - leading the nu-jazz scene and bringing audiences a fusion of hip hop, dance and jazz into the morning hours.

On Friday and Saturday nights it’s all about the bands. Crossing genres, Ronnie Scott’s Late Late Shows will now feature groovy and bass-heavy, jazz, funk, soul and more. Tight, slick, groovy instrumentalists, vocalists and DJs come together to present some of the most exciting live experiences in the city, and UK. October nights include the likes of Robin Mularkey, The Drawtones and the amazing British bass guitarist Yolanda Charles MBE.

Wednesday nights will continue to feature jazz-centric performances, with the best up and coming stars of the future presented by Ronnie Scott’s house names – also some of the finest artists on the current UK scene. Wednesday 6 October sees saxophonist Rachael Cohen take to the stage, followed by names like trumpeter Mark Kavuma, guitarist Dani Diodato and Big Band frontman and trumpeter, Matt Roberts.

Excited for what the return of the Late Late Shows means for Ronnie Scott’s, General Manager Fred Nash says:
“Our Late Late Shows are a key part of Ronnie’s legacy and we’ve been eagerly waiting to bring them back. While our main shows are an incredible way to enjoy some of the finest performers from around the world, the Late Late Shows allow our guests to really let their hair down, groove along to some amazing music and spend an evening with their nearest and dearest. With the relaunch we want to welcome everyone in. We’ve kept the ticket prices low, with a list of house cocktails, beer and wine under a tenner - rivalling most bars in town. Really, we just want people to celebrate being able to revel in some amazing music, in good company at one of the best spots in town.”

About Ronnie Scott’s:
Ronnie Scott’s is one of the world’s most famous jazz clubs, and the ultimate must-visit venue for jazz fans. Established in 1959 by saxophonists Ronnie Scott and Pete King, the club opened its doors in a small basement at 39 Gerrard Street in London’s West End showcasing the best of British jazz talent and introducing top American and international jazz artists to British jazz fans later on.  In 1965, the club moved to 47 Frith Street. Since the early days of Sarah Vaughan, Count Basie and Miles Davis, the club continues to present the biggest names in jazz as well as supporting and presenting hotly-tipped rising stars. The club celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2019, and has a charity, The Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation: a non-profit organisation dedicated to the support of jazz and music education in the U.K and beyond.
