Tango Jazz Quartet - new videos produced for the benefit of audiences during Covid-19 lockdown.
Sunday, May 03, 2020
Gustavo Firmenich, leader of Argentina's Tango Jazz Quartet has forwarded a series of eight new videos for fans to enjoy during lockdown. Details attached.
Gustavo Firmenich writes;
I hope you are well and handling the difficult situation created by the COVID 19 pandemic in the best way. The musical family could not be oblivious to this hard blow and surely we share anxieties and uncertainties, but surely each of us also does not stand still and each one will be looking for a way for better things to come out of this crisis. Tango Jazz Quartet is working to try to contribute its little grain of sand so that the music accompanies each of those who are isolated in their homes and concerned about their present and future. So the group did not stop working and produced a series of videos with different themes from their repertoire.
And nothing better than to share them and offer them selflessly to those who have trusted us and have given us the honor of being able to play in your venue.
Below are the links to the material that the group has produced so far that, if you wish, you can show to your audience.

Ian adds;
Thanks to Gustavo for forwarding these videos for TJQ’s fans in the UK to share. Tango Jazz Quartet have been frequent visitors to Europe and have performed on several occasions at Black Mountain Jazz in Abergavenny, which is where I got to meet Gustavo and the rest of the band. I’m delighted to share these videos with the Jazzmann audience and wish Gustavo and his bandmates well in these strange and challenging times.
