B-Jazz Burghausen invites applications for European Young Artists Award 2011

Young European jazz artists are invited to submit applications for this award which is to be made in March 2011. Closing date for applications is November 5th 2010.
B-Jazz Berghausen have requested that we publicise this award which will be presented during the 42nd international jazz week from 22 to 27 March 2011. Applications must be submitted by November 5th 2010.

European Young Artists’ Award 2011
On the occasion of the 42nd international jazz week from 22 to 27 March 2011, the interest group Jazz Burghausen e.V. in cooperation with the Stadt Burghausen is announcing the 3rd European Young Artists’ Award 2011.
This prize, which is awarded annually, has been created to actively promote pro?mising young jazz artists.
Target Group
Combos of three or more musicians and big bands based in Europe.
Participants must not be older than 30 years (b. 1981 and after).
Style
All varieties of jazz will be admitted.
The Prize Offer
The award is endowed with prize money of ? 15,000,
which consists of a ? 5,000 cash prize and ? 10,000 in promotions tailored to the respective band?s requirements, be it the production and distri?bution of a CD or a made-to-measure promotion or coaching package.

Application Deadline
The closing date for applications is November 5, 2010. Only applications which have been completed in full and have been received by the above-mentioned date will be considered.
