Ian Mann will be visiting London to attend a number of events at the 2010 London Jazz Festival. Look out for an extensive feature on his return.

The Jazzmann site will be quiet for a few days while I visit the London Jazz Festival.
I’m scheduled to see;

Monday 15th November-Christian Scott/Yaron Herman Trio at the South Bank

Tuesday 16th-Cedar Walton at Ronnie Scott’s

Wednesday 17th-Gary Burton at the QEH

Thursday 17th- Mike Moreno Quartet featuring Michael Janisch at Pizza Express

Friday 19th- Zed U and Oddjob at The Vortex

plus I’ll be fitting in as many of the free performances as I can at the Cafe Consort, The South Bank Centre and other venues.

I’m very excited about it all. I’ll be seeing some brilliant musicians of many different nationalities playing a wide range of music at a wide range of venues.
Meanwhile Tim Owen will be seeing a completely different set of gigs, many of them at The Vortex and he’ll be reporting on these. It should all make for a very interesting and comprehensive festival coverage.
